About
Labo Sonata is an ongoing project that explores the endless possibilities of vintage textiles. By crafting one-of-a-kind and small-batch garments, we aim to give new life to what has been forgotten.
Antique linen sheets, old tablecloths, faded curtains, and deadstock fabric fragments — each with its own marks, creases, and quiet history. Hand-picked from around the world, these materials are what we reach for first. We see garment-making as a form of composition — like writing music with fabric. In our small studio, we work slowly, letting each material speak. Through gentle processes like plant dyeing, intuitive cutting, and hand-finishing, we repurpose each textile with care. Every step is done in-house, guided by care and sustainability.
Our silhouettes are rooted in vintage workwear — practical, structured, and quietly grounded — yet softened with a modern rhythm to achieve a balance of understated elegance. Designed to be gender-neutral, each piece is made to be lived in, to last, and to feel good on the body and be kind to the earth.
Led by Wen, the designer behind WEN PAN, Labo Sonata is a journey of quiet exploration. It holds the same philosophy as WEN PAN — to interpret through the traces of time and celebrate the charm of imperfection.
